Tangueros is an Argentine Tango Dance Company led by Directors Jairo Sanchez Rivera & Amy Georgina Teuchert.

Founded by Rivera in 1994 and established in 2000, Tangueros teaches, performs and choreographs: Tango Argentino, Vals and Milonga. The company promotes the tango culture by hosting visiting artists from Argentina, performing at Cultural Events, through open classes, and promotional events.

As part of its ongoing commitment to widening tango in Australia, Tangueros has hosted internationally renowned artists and choreographers. Guest artists have included Pecky Land Zoghby, Gustavo Saenz & Georgina Vargas, Miguel Angel Zotto & Soledad Rivero, Osvaldo Zotto & Lorena Ermocida, Carlos & Maria Rivarola, Pablo Veron & Noel Strazza.

In the field of teaching, Tangueros is considered as one of Australia’s leading tango schools. The company is the most experienced in Sydney and one of the leaders throughout Oceania.  Its innovative forms of teaching have introduced new concepts, styles, techniques and movements that distinguish its students.  Tangueros, with Argentine Tango Instructor and Performer, Pecky Land Zogbhy were the first to introduce the popular Milonguero and Salon styles to Australia between 2000 and 2001.

The partnership of Jairo and Amy has produced one of the leading performance couples in Australia, combining skill, knowledge, unmatched stage presence and artistic expression.
In 2006 it's Directors placed 2nd in the Australian Tango Championships, held at the Sydney Opera House. It is the only tango company in Australia that has performed with renowned Argentine Tango Companies in Buenos Aires, Argentina, including the famed company of Mora Godoy.
In 2004 Jairo was the choreography of "Satango -The Devil's Tango", an Australian musical directed by Wayne Harrison, starring Simon Burke and Sharon Millerchip.
